Social Worker (Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation)

The Social Worker is responsible for providing Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation services in community based child-serving and family-serving programs, including child care centers, family shelters and pediatrician offices.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :

  • Providing early childhood consultation services to child-serving and family-serving community programs

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with host staff

  • Building capacity of consultation sites to understand, recognize and address early childhood developmental and mental health needs, including training and education program staff and parents

  • Administering age-appropriate screening questionnaires

  • Engaging staff and parents indiscussing screening and providing referrals/recommendations

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Trained and supervised in Evidence Based Practices
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with similar populations
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaker preferred
  • Strong relational, administrative, program development, writing and computer skills are required
