OVERVIEW: The Assistant Director provides administrative and clinical supervision of Bryce House. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the standards of regulatory agencies and of The Jewish Board. Work schedule may include rotating shifts and on-call service.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  1. Programmatic & Administrative:
  2. Provide administrative supervision.

  3. Ensure clinical and administrative compliance in all program areas.Assists with external audits and audit

    preparations.

  4. Maintain census at a minimum of 50 at all times.

  5. Schedule and monitor staff attendance, staffing, and vacation scheduling to ensure proper coverage.

  6. Conducts and participates in other Quality Assurance activities, including Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI), consumer satisfaction surveys, chart reviews and audits.

  7. Review and approve service plans.

  8. Collect and utilize data to inform program operations, compliance, planning and improvement projects.

  9. Participate in and oversee admission and discharge processes and decisions.

  10. Develop and improve operations, systems, effectiveness, and standardization.

  11. Ensure programs’ fiscal viability.

  12. Implement new initiatives and program improvement activities.

  13. Monitor and follow up on adverse events.

  14. Conduct community outreach and maintain external collaborative and community relationships.

  15. Participate in and facilitate various meetings.

  16. Complete performance evaluations.

  17. Conduct and arrange staff training and development.

  18. Ensure that apartments are in good condition; supervise facility-related program functions. Work collaboratively with the Facilities’ Department and landlords.

  19. Assist Program Director with developing new beds and new program services.

  20. Responsible for approval of administrative forms and reports including monthly Human Resources Administration (HRA) billing information, weekly staff timesheets, petty cash and monetary disbursements to clients.

  21. Participate in on call schedule.

  22. Other administrative duties, as assigned.

B.   Clinical:

  1. Provide individual and group clinical supervision to program staff.

  2. Ensure utilization of effective interventions that lead to identified, meaningful outcomes.

  3. Facilitate staff meetings and case conferences.

  4. Provide direct service to clients on an as needed/required basis.

  5. Ensure monthly fire drills with the clients are completed; ensure proper follow up is implemented if needed.

  6. Conduct regular apartment inspections.

  7. May carry a caseload or facilitate groups.

  8. Other clinical duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:     LMSW required; LCSW preferred.  Prior experience with domestic violence population.  Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Computer literacy.
