The Youth Advocate will be responsible for engaging youth and their families in order to assist them in identifying their needs as well as achieving goals set forth by the Individualized Care Coordinator. The Youth Advocate will be and integral part of the WAIVER Team and will participate in staff meetings as well as in supportive, recreational and educational activities offered to the youth and families.
RESPONSBILITIES include but not limited to:
REQUIREMENTS: The Youth Advocate will be a young adult who has had emotional and/or behavioral challenges and experience receiving services from the children’s mental health or other child-serving systems. Has a High School Diploma or GED—Some college preferred. Car and valid NYS driver’s license required, bilingual a plus
