Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Fee for Service Social Worker is responsible for providing culturally sensitive treatment and clinical intervention for clients as part of a therapeutic team in a community mental health clinic setting. 

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Short and long-term treatment of youth and young adults age 14-26.

  • Crisis intervention when indicated as part of the client’s treatment.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, e.g. progress notes, assessments and treatment plans, statistics, and other documentation as required by The Jewish Board and other governmental licensing and funding entities.

  • Participate in supervision (for which the social worker is paid.) Please note that supervision and direct service fulfills

  • Attend scheduled staff meetings.
  • Engage in continuing education activities.The Jewish Board offers CEUs at no cost to its social workers                   ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:
  • Reporting and follow-up around all incidents in accordance with The Jewish Board policies and procedures around incident and risk management.
    EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Available 2 or more weekday afternoons/evenings.
    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE
  • A minimum 1 year of relevant experience with similar population/setting
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
     
     
     
     
    COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED (List the computer skills needed):
     
    Use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
    Use of Outlook and related Microsoft Office Applications
     
    VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:
  • Able to read data and documents, including spreadsheets, reports and Electronic Health Records in printed form and on computer screens.
  • Able to input data into the Electronic Health Record.
  • Limited applications of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
