Job Description

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Jewish Board’s Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally competent, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the provision of services, oversight of administrative processes, and clinical supervision of staff for the Clinic Behavioral Health Outpatient Program.  The Clinical Partner is responsible for advising the Family Resource Center Director and offers clinical support to the FRC Family and Youth Advocates. The Clinical Partner coordinates Outreach Plans with the Director that inform the community about FRC services and generates referrals

Clinic Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative coverage of clinic
  • Provide individual supervision to social work staff
  • Provide and supervise crisis management
  • Ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health (OMH) standards
  • Provide direct services to limited caseload
  • Clinical Partner Responsibilities:
  • Assist in program development and new initiatives as part of the Leadership Team
  • Provides seminars for FRC staff on various topics to enhance their knowledge around interventions, medications, diagnoses and other relevant topics
  • Conducts youth assessments to determine the level of care needed for referrals to mental health providers or CSPOA.
  • Inputs monthly statistics into E Compass

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:

LCSW

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:

Two years of supervisory experience preferred

Strong clinical group, family and individual intervention skills required

Good organizational, team work and communicate skills needed

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:

Knowledge of Excel

Knowledge of Microsoft Word
